At our nursery in Bexleyheath, our children have been learning all about planting and growing their own fruits and vegetables! 🌱🍅
Today, the children had the opportunity to plant tomatoes and carrots. They used spades to scoop soil into plant pots and carefully added the seeds one by one, counting them as they went along. They made sure to cover the seeds completely with soil to ensure they have the best chance of growing into healthy plants.
Over the next few weeks, the children will be responsible for looking after their plants by watering them regularly and making sure they have enough sunlight. This hands-on experience not only teaches them about the importance of caring for living things but also helps them understand where their food comes from.
We are so proud of our young gardeners and can't wait to see their plants grow and thrive! 🌿🥕 #learningthroughnature #greenthumbs #naturelovers ... See MoreSee Less

At our nursery in Bexleyheath, our children have been delving into the world of family dynamics in a heartwarming and educational activity. They've been exploring their own and their friends' family books, gaining insights into the diverse structures that make up each child's family.
The children then took their creativity to the next level by creating their own family pictures, showcasing their unique family units. It was a joy to see them compare their family drawings with those of their friends, sparking conversations about siblings, pets, and their home life.
These discussions not only enrich the children's understanding of their own family but also foster a sense of inclusivity and appreciation for the diverse family backgrounds within our nursery community. Keep up the wonderful work, little ones! #FamilyDynamics #Inclusivity #NurseryExplorations 🏡👨👩👦🐶👭🎨📚 ... See MoreSee Less

At our nursery in Bexleyheath, our children have been thoroughly enjoying exploring the classic story of 'The Gingerbread Man'! 🍪📚
After listening to the story, they discussed their favorite parts and then got to work making their very own gingerbread. Mixing together flour, sugar, and butter, they created their desired shapes and baked them in the oven. Thankfully, none of the gingerbread men escaped from the oven like in the story!
The children are excited to take their creations home and enjoy them. 🏡✨ #NurseryFun #TheGingerbreadMan #LearningThroughPlay ... See MoreSee Less

At our nursery in Bexleyheath our children have had the best morning exploring 3D shapes.
The children used coloured foam to create a variety of shapes on paper by dipping wooden blocks, nuts and bolts and magnets into the foam and stamping them onto the paper. The children were able to recognise some of the shapes and imitate words such as ‘hexagon’ back to our early years educators.

At our nursery in Bexleyheath, we believe in providing engaging and hands-on learning experiences for our little ones. Today, our Tweenies had a blast exploring the creative possibilities of chalk on black card. Under the guidance of our wonderful early years educator, Jayme, the children were encouraged to experiment with different marks and movements to create their own unique designs.
It was fantastic to see the children's enthusiasm as they tried to replicate Jayme's firework-inspired creations and discover their own favourite colours. Not only did this activity spark their creativity, but it also fostered important discussions about colour, texture, and artistic expression.
We are so proud of our little artists and can't wait to see what other wonderful creations they come up with in the future. Keep up the great work, Tweenies! 🎨 #EarlyYearsEducation #CreativeLearning #BexleyheathNursery #ArtisticExploration ... See MoreSee Less
