At our nursery in Bexleyheath, our children have been exploring the fascinating world of patterns with the help of our talented early years educator, Aimee. Recently, Aimee drew a jellyfish body on a large sheet of paper, and the children used small coloured blocks to create the jellyfish's legs in their preferred patterns. It was a wonderful and educational activity that allowed the children to delve into the concepts of patterns and colours while also enhancing their fine motor skills. We are so proud of our little learners and their creativity! ... See MoreSee Less

Monkey Puzzle Welling & Bexleyheath Celebrate Operations Managerโs Publishing Milestone โ All Book Proceeds Donated to Childrenโs Charity Truly Beloved
Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery & Preschool in Welling and Bexleyheath are celebrating a proud and inspiring milestone as their Operations Manager, Dalton Smither, becomes a published childrenโs author and is generously donating 100% of the proceeds from his books to charity.
Dalton, who began his career at Monkey Puzzle as a Deputy Room Leader seven years ago, now leads operations across both nursery sites. His newly published picture books โ โWyattโs Safari Adventure,โ โWyattโs Space Adventure,โ and โWyattโs Farmyard Adventureโ โ are written specifically for children aged 3โ5 and are already a hit with the young learners at the nursery settings. Each story combines fun, exploration, and age-appropriate learning.
The books were lovingly inspired by Daltonโs own children, his son and daughter, who sparked his imagination and creativity. His son is also a part of the Monkey Puzzle family, attending one of the nursery settings himself. This personal connection brings an added layer of warmth and authenticity to the stories, making them especially meaningful for both Dalton and the children who enjoy them.
What makes this accomplishment especially meaningful is Daltonโs choice to donate all proceeds from book sales to Truly Beloved, a charity closely connected with the nurseries. Truly Beloved supports children with disabilities and vulnerable young people both locally and abroad, operating entirely on donations and ensuring 100% of funds go directly to helping those in need.
In addition to his full-time role, Dalton volunteers as Events Manager for Truly Beloved, organising impactful fundraising initiatives throughout the year. His dedication, both professionally and personally, continues to inspire colleagues, children, and families alike.
โWe are so proud of Dalton - not just for becoming an author, but for using his creativity to support such a vital cause,โ said Parv Choudhury, Owner of Monkey Puzzle Welling & Bexleyheath. โHis passion for education and for helping others embodies everything we believe in as a nursery. His books are already bringing joy to our children, and now theyโll bring hope to many more beyond our walls.โ
Daltonโs books are available now and are being shared across the nursery settings and local community, inspiring the next generation of readers while making a real difference in the lives of children around the world. ... See MoreSee Less

At our nursery in Bexleyheath, our Babies are thoroughly enjoying exploring our new theme of the month โUnder the sea.โ ๐ Skye, our amazing early years educator, created a hands-on activity for the children to watch an axolotl hatch from an egg. ๐ฅ The children first explored the egg with their hands, then helped Skye fill a bowl with water, and finally popped the egg into the water to observe it for the whole day. The next day, the children were thrilled to see that the axolotl had hatched and each had a turn of holding it. Stay tuned for more exciting under the sea activities! ๐ #EarlyYearsEducation #UnderTheSeaTheme #BexleyheathNursery ... See MoreSee Less

Our babies at the nursery in Bexleyheath had a blast during a fruit tasting activity today! ๐๐ They got to explore oranges, lemons, and limes with their hands before tasting them, and their faces lit up with delight at the flavors. After that, they put pieces of the fruits into cups, and our amazing early years educators added water to create some refreshing fruit water. It was such a fun and educational experience for the little ones, and we love seeing them engage with new tastes and textures. ๐๐ถ๐น #FruitExploration #earlyyears #learningthroughplay #nurseryfun #BexleyheathNursery ...
